Short time ago we did a four week India round trip through Rajasthan. Going from Delhi to Jodhpur, Kubhalgarh, Udaipur, Shahpura, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Agra and back to Delhi. After that we flew to Kochi in the South for some final relaxing days.
India round trip for honeymoon – Why not?
Keep in mind that this was our wedding trip! Relatives and friends did not believe we chose to visit India. They expected a more common destination for our honeymoon, but we don’t count us to ordinary people. I am very sorry! 😉
Before I will share some insights with you on the destinations we visited, I would like to dedicate my first article to all the locals we met. Most people in India can’t afford and even can’t imagine how abundant we live here in central Europe. Nonetheless they always treated us like friends and shared with us the few things they had.
We never experienced a bad treatment or a rude word even in the most remote places. And whenever I pulled out my camera, the persons in focus started to pose for me with a smile on their faces. Nowhere else did I see these enormous contrasts between rich and poor in the smallest spaces. I once again had to learn, that poverty does not necessarily lead to hostility and anger.
This trip was overwhelming regarding the enormous population density and traffic in the metropolitan areas. On the other hand it was educational and dreamlike in the countryside, with it’s masterly built palaces, forts and huge nature reserves.
I will show you some of the most striking spots we visited there in my future articles – please come back, read and share my stories!
Here is a small fraction of my pictures I took at our India round trip to get you excited. Please don’t steal my images – just kindly ask, if you want to use one of them. All rights reserved.
